Hey Y'all! Whew......the first day of school was a success! I posted on Facebook yesterday afternoon that I wonder when I stop wearing cheap Wal-Mart shoes on the first day of school?! Seriously--when I went to bed last night, my feet were throbbing. Today, I do have on better shoes and hope that things will be OK tonight when I go to bed with the feet!
I have Googled and collected a few pictures of the new shoes I'm looking into! HAHAHAHA
Whew! I'm almost to the point where I won't even care what it looks like anymore--as long as my feet won't hurt at night! Have a great day today! But before you go, check out the QUILT GIVEAWAY over at Craftopotamus' Blog!
Girl, I know how you feel about the shoes! When I first started teaching, I wore a dress, hose, heels, the whole nine yards....EVERY DAY! :-( I was so young I needed to appear more authoritative! But after I had been teaching a few years, we moved into a new school with concrete floors (the old building had wood floors). Oh. My. Goodness. That was the END of my wearing high heel shoes to school! I don't know about you, but my voice gets sooo tired those first few days too!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, "Big Daddy" since December 17, 1994. I'm a happy mama to an adorable six year old son named Robbie. He's absolutely, without a doubt, my world. We adopted him officially on May 10, 2007 but he's been with us since June 7, 2006. I got a late start on being a mama, but God knows what He's doing. They say that you have more patience if you're older when you start a family, right? Nobody said anything about not having any energy!
I teach 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies and I'm the pianist for my church.
I love to sew, crochet, cook, do various crafts, play computer games on Facebook, and laugh until I'm hurting!
My family is my world.
I enjoy meeting people and making new friends who share my interests.

You're so funny!! I recall a time when I wore 3 inch heels...all day long at work! Still prefer high heels but can't do 3 inch ones anymore!
