Make-Do Pincushion

Hey Y'all!  I hope each of you had a great weekend.  Ours was wonderful and I took several naps...had a lot of sleep to catch up on!
Starting tomorrow, I'll be documenting our CLEAN SWEEP at The Doublewide.  It's gotten out of hand....the clutter has been there too long...I haven't had company in forever...My husband just sighs and shakes his head....I don't want to feel confined and stuck inside for the summer...etc.
Anyway...today I found something in one of the cabinets and it HIT me...Like MAJOR lightbulb moment..."I'm gonna make this into a pincushion."
So I did....
Here's how I made it:
Find an old goblet or some other type holder and spray paint it...Sorry I don't have a picture of it just spray painted, but you can tell in the final picture..this one gave me my inspiration:

Then hot glue some stuffing or batting down in the bottom like this:
Get an old "tomato" pincushion,
Trace top rim of the goblet and cut just a little larger than the rim.  Use any fabric you'd like and hot glue it to the tomato.  It doesn't matter if you get the bottom covered or not as you won't be able to see it.
Then hot glue the covered tomato into the goblet by dabbing hot glue onto the bottom of the tomato and then squishing it onto the batting/stuffing.

Add some lace, embellishments, and some pins and you're all done!

Pincushions bring back memories of my grandmother sewing.
